Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

Day use permits are available at the Valle Grande staging area located two miles down the main Preserve road. No reservations are required. Cost of permits is $10 per adult, $8 per senior (62 yrs and older), $5 per youth (6-15 yrs), and free for kids 5yrs and younger.

6:00 PM-10:00 PM Moonlight Skiing

This is your opportunity to experience the wonder of the snow covered Valle Grande in the moonlight. When the wind blows lightly and the moon is reflecting off the snow it almost seems like the valle is moving. This is one of those experiences that will stick with you. 

Special moonlit events will be offered if snow conditions permit. The moonlit events begin at 6 PM, and you must be back at the staging area by 10 PM. Reservations are not required and permits may be purchased at the Valle Grande staging area. Fees are $15 per adult, $12 per senior (62 yrs and older), $10 per youth (6-15 yrs), and free for kids 5yrs and younger (Please note that the December 31st price may change as we plan our first New Year’s Eve bash!)
