You want to bring your group out to the Valles Caldera National Preserve, but aren’t
sure how? There are several opportunities available:
The Trust’s interpretive staff offers seven van tours and 16 guided hikes or can
customize a tour or guided hike for your group.
Guided group applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the day you would like to visit. This allows us time to schedule interpretive staff, create a custom tour or guided hike, and check availability of resources, such as vans. Visits can be scheduled for any time on any day of the week; however, some van tours or guided hikes are better during certain times of the day. (For example, a wildlife or elk viewing tour works best in the early morning or evening hours when the wildlife and elk are more active.) Please note that van tours may not be possible during the winter season once the snow arrives.
