How to Reserve
Here is your chance to explore the interior of the Preserve on foot. Capacity on each trail is limited, so expect to see few people and be able to enjoy the wildlife, scenery and solitude.
Reservations are not required; however, if you wish to guarantee your hiking slot, you should make a reservation.
You may also sign up at the staging area any day the hikes are operating. Please note individuals with reservations have priority, and walk-ins will be accommodated providing there is room at the departure time. The Preserve does not presently participate in the Golden Passport program.
Apply On-Line
To reserve your day of hiking on the Preserve, select your hike and start time from the available dates page. This site will accept credit card payments only.

You may also contact us by calling toll-free 1-866-382-5537, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (MST) and on Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (MST).
Apply by in Person. Take Your Chance the Day of the Event!
You may also try taking the chance of getting on a hiking shuttle or a guided hike by driving to the Valle Grande or Banco Bonito Staging Areas and seeing if there are any vacancies.
Requests for Rescheduling, Refunds
All reservations are final. We cannot reschedule your hike if your plans change. Please read the Return Policy for more information on refunds.
