PLANNING MEETINGS OVERVIEW

The Trust may use host a planning meeting regarding Stewardship Actions which have a high level of interest or have potentially significant or long term effects. The purpose of these meetings is to bring people together to share information, exchange ideas, introduce new ideas and ways of working, or to develop relationships and contacts. The purpose of a planning meeting is to discuss issues, not to make decisions. By allowing for a two-way flow of information, meetings provide an opportunity for people to share their concerns, hear other points of view, and identify areas of conflict.

Many of our planning meetings include an “Open House”. The open house format allows participants to orient themselves in detail to the meeting topic and engage staff and Trustees in one on one conversation.

We recognize that attending meetings may not always be convenient for a variety of reasons. For this reason the Trust may offer “Virtual” opportunities to attend open house and meeting events. The virtual event would make posters and documents available online along with options to post questions and comments.
